Dr. Brian Chilelli is board-certified in Orthopaedic Surgery and a native of Greater Cincinnati. He is an active member of several societies including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, the Arthroscopy Association of North America, and the International Cartilage Repair Society.

He completed a five-year orthopaedic surgery internship and residency at Northwestern in Chicago, IL. Following the completion of his residency, he received advanced fellowship training in sports medicine at Brigham and Women’s Hospital of Harvard Medical School in Boston, MA.

His current practice is devoted to sports medicine injuries and joint preservation of the knee. He specializes in the surgical management of cartilage injuries, complex meniscus tears, ligamentous injuries, and joint malalignment. His philosophy is to delay knee replacement surgery through non-operative measures as well as operative biologic techniques including cartilage restoration, meniscus transplantation, and joint realignment osteotomies.

Dr. Chilelli continues to have a strong academic presence and serves as a core faculty member at the Cincinnati Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center fellowship and is director of the Cartilage Restoration Center. He has been frequently invited as a faculty instructor and speaker at national courses and conferences. In addition, he has authored numerous book chapters and journal articles on joint preservation of the knee.
