Adolph V. Lombardi, Jr., MD

Adolph V. Lombardi, Jr. was born and educated in Philadelphia at Saint Joseph’s University, Temple University, and Albert Einstein Medical Center., and completed Adult Reconstruction fellowships at Anderson Orthopaedic Institute and Joint Implant Surgeons, the practice he joined and leads now known as JIS Orthopedics.

His vision for a musculoskeletal specialty hospital spurred the development of New Albany Surgical Hospital in 2003, and 10 years later his group opened their first ambulatory surgery center where they have performed over 15,000 outpatient arthroplasties.

He founded Operation Walk USA and has been a volunteer surgeon for Operation Walk and Team Hope in Motion, is Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedics at The Ohio State University, has been an oral examiner for the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery since 1997, a past president of both The Hip Society and The Knee Society, and is Deputy Director of Current Concepts in Joint Replacement.
