Joanne Halbrecht, MD

Dr. Halbrecht is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine and orthobiologics. Before relocating to Coeur D'Alene, Idaho in 2019, she was the founder Boulder Institute for Sports Medicine (BISM) in Boulder, Colorado where she practiced for 24 years. In 2015, she established Boulder Regenerative Medicine. She was the first in Colorado and Idaho to use the Lipogems system for processing adipose. She is the senior author on papers analyzing the ethics of stem cell clinic direct-to-consumer marketing and website misinformation. She serves as Chair of the the Biologic Association's Committee on Advocacy.
