Dr. Andrew Jawa is an Associate Attending Orthopedic Surgeon at the New England Baptist Hospital and the Boston Sports and Shoulder Center specializing in shoulder arthroplasty. He was an undergraduate at Williams College where he studied biology and economics and was captain of the rugby team. Dr. Jawa attended the University of Pennsylvania Medical School followed by the Harvard Combined Orthopaedic Residency. He completed 2 fellowships, Hand and Microsurgery at Massachusetts General Hospital and Shoulder and Elbow at Harvard. He was on staff at Boston Medical Center where he specialized in upper extremity trauma before he transitioned to the New England Baptist Hospital where he now performs more than 300 arthroplasties a year. He trains Tufts Orthopaedic Residents, New England Baptist Sports Fellows and the Harvard Shoulder Fellows. He has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and numerous book chapters.
