Daniela Rubinger is a 1988 graduate of Dalhousie School of Physiotherapy. In 1991, following several years at Nova Scotia Rehabilitation Centre, she began working in private practice at the Dalplex, Dalhousie University. From 1991 to 2005, Daniela managed the clinic and was heavily involved in the treatment of athletes on professional and varsity levels. She has also provided services to many sporting events and was the chief therapist for the 1998 Four Continents Figure Skating Championships, as well as 2004’s Women’s World Hockey Championships both held in Halifax.

In 2005, she opened Citadel Physiotherapy in downtown Halifax. A multidisciplinary clinic that provides high quality care to clients. In 2015 Citadel Physiotherapy expanded to include a second clinic in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. A lifelong learner, , Daniela has continued to enhance her expertise though courses in in acupuncture, manual therapy, sports therapy, taping, and muscular imbalances.

Daniela works very closely with Ankle and Foot orthopaedic surgeons Dr. Mark Glazebrook and Dr. Joel Morash, advancing the treatment of non-operative Achilles tendon ruptures which has led to many research opportunities in the field. In addition, she has also studied the effects of exercise in patients with early signs of dementia alongside Dr. Kenneth Rockwood.

Daniela lives in Halifax with her husband John, and two children, Kathie and Ben. While not in the office, she enjoys soccer, skiing, mountain biking, and time with friends and family.
