Quin Throckmorton is a professor of orthopaedic surgery at the University of Tennessee-Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN where he also serves as the director of the residency program. He received his BA from Vanderbilt University, his medical degree from the University of Iowa and trained in orthopaedic surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. He then completed a fellowship in shoulder and elbow surgery at the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Throckmorton currently serves on the Board of Directors for the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS) and has served as chairman of the AAOS Central Instructional Course Lectures (ICL) Committee, as the editor of ICL Volume 65, and as a member of the AAOS Annual Meeting Committee. He has completed the ASES Traveling Exchange Fellowship and is a graduate of the AAOS Leadership Fellows Program. He was also the 2016 recipient of the Charles S. Neer Award for shoulder and elbow research by the ASES.
