This presentation will provide an overview of the data supporting Triamcinolone Acetonide Extended Release as a fundamentally new, different and superior injectable for knee osteoarthritis. The novel delivery system of a PLGA microsphere nanoparticle establishes sustained levels of intraarticular steroid with a minimum of systemic absorption. The low systemic concentration has virtually no impact on plasma glucose levels in diabetics. The clinical impact is dramatic, with statistically and clinically meaningful improvements in WOMAC A,B,C, KOOS QOL, and the need for rescue medication versus placebo and Standard Triamcinolone Acetonide.
